When Emma Neppenström first set foot in Basta at the age of 17, she knew right away that she had found the right job. Three years later, she has gone from carrying plates to taking on the role of assistant restaurant manager – and the journey which has been both fast-paced and educational.

The summer season has just come to life at Eden at Smedsudden. The sun is shining over the pier, sauna towels are hanging to dry and the smell of grilled fish is spreading in the garden. Love Garpendahl, who has been with the restaurant since the beginning, talks about this year's food concept – Eden Gone Fishing – and what it's like to run a place where Lake Mälaren meets the Mediterranean, with food, music, sauna and swimming.
